  • Social Logins: If you choose to register or log in using a third-party social media account (e.g., Google, Discord, X), we receive and store your unique User ID from that platform solely to authenticate your account for future logins. We do not pull or store your contacts or post on your behalf.
  • Age Verification: We collect your date of birth to comply with international child safety laws and to gate age-restricted content.

1.2 User-Generated Content and Metadata

  • Artworks and Media: We collect the images and content you upload.
  • Privacy by Design (EXIF Stripping): To protect your privacy and physical location, our system automatically strips and deletes all EXIF data and hidden metadata (such as GPS coordinates and software details) from your image files upon upload. The files stored on our servers are completely clean.

1.3 Payment Information

If you make purchases, buy premium subscriptions, or engage in artist commissions, your payments are processed entirely through secure third-party payment gateways (such as Stripe or PayPal). We do not collect or store your full credit card numbers or financial details on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Providing and Improving the Platform

We use your information to manage your account, host your portfolios, and provide access to the platform.

2.2 Privacy-Focused Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics tools (similar to Umami) to understand broad website traffic and performance trends. These tools do not use invasive third-party tracking cookies and do not track your activity across other websites.

2.3 Strict "No AI Training" Guarantee

We respect artists' rights. We do not use, and will never use, any user-uploaded artwork, text, or content to train artificial intelligence (AI) models, machine learning algorithms, or generative image systems. Furthermore, we do not sell or license your content to third parties for the purpose of AI training.

3. Communication and Moderation

  • Public Interactions: Your profile, artworks, and public comments are visible to the community.
  • Private Messaging (Direct Messages): We offer private messaging between users. These messages are strictly confidential. However, to keep the environment safe, our administration and moderation team reserves the right to access and read specific message threads only if a participant explicitly reports the conversation for harassment, spam, or Terms of Service violations.

4. International Data Transfers and Storage

Meisaku operates globally, and our primary servers and secure object storage infrastructure are located in Japan. By using our Services, you understand and agree that your personal information and uploaded content will be transferred to, stored, and processed in Japan. We use secure environments to isolate and protect your data and handle it in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable international data protection standards.

5. Age Requirements and NSFW Content

  • General Access: You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 years old in the European Economic Area) to create an account and use the base platform.
  • Age-Restricted Content (NSFW): Meisaku hosts both Safe for Work (SFW) and Not Safe for Work (NSFW) content. Access to view, search, or upload NSFW content is strictly limited to users who are 18 years of age or older. We employ strict age-gating mechanisms, and falsely representing your age to access restricted content is a violation of our Terms of Service.

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Delete your account and personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate information in your profile.
